April 2009. We drove to Disney world and stayed at Beach Resort for 7 days. On the first day, we went to Hollywood Studios to see Playhouse Disney, Beauty and the Beast and Honey I shrunk' play area. Mike was not feeling to good this day. It must be the caffeine :) We ate dinner at Sci-Fi Dine in Theater. The restaurant has an open sitting area. You sit in a car and watch movie just like the old days. We have captured a smiley face in the sky saying "Jesus loves you" that shows up almost every day.
We went to Magic Kingdom on the second day. It was nice and convenient to wait for the bus to take us to the park and not drive. We went to all rides in Fantasyland and Mickey's Toontown Fair. The favorites are Mickey's PhilharMagic, It's a small world, Dumbo, Mickey/Minnie's House and the ToonTown Hall of Fame Tent to meet the princesses. We ate dinner at the Crystal Palace Buffet. The children enjoyed posing pictures with the Pooh characters. Allison loved the fireworks most of all!
On the third day, we went to Animal Kingdom. We saw the animals through the safari ride, watched the Lion King and the parade. David loved to pose at the so-called Yeti mountain. He specifically asked me to take his picture couple times. It was a cloudy day and rained a little. While we were waiting for the parade to start, the kids enjoyed making sounds with the african drums (Djembes).
The weather was cold (around 50s) on the fourth day. It's good thing that we brought sweaters. We went Magic Kingdom for the second time to watch the celebrate parade and to meet Cinderella at the Royal Table. Allison dressed up and she was so excited to see her favorite princess. We ate a three course meal in the castle and enjoyed every bit of our dinner and entertainment.
We went to the Epcot Center on the fifth day. The kids enjoyed watching Finding nemo and looking at the fish in the big aquarium. The best of all is the Mickey Mouse playground. They never seen such like it! Since the place is mostly meant for bigger kids or adults, we have seen only kid attractions, went back to the hotel for kids to nap and went back to Epcot Center to see the fireworks at night.
Our last day at Disney. We went to Hollywood Studios to see the car stunt show. David was amazed by the car stunts and pyrotechnics. We strolled around the park in the morning and came back to the hotel in the afternoon for a dip in the pool. The resort pool had a sand dune in the middle for kids to hang out and play. It was a perfect weather. We left the next day and when we came back home, the kids wanted to go back again!
