1/24/09: Monster Jam at Verizon Center. First, we went to the Pit Party to see the monster trucks up close. Kids looked so small next to the trucks. Most of the time they were looking up and David was amazed how big those wheels are. There was an hour and a half wait in between the show and the pit party, so we went to eat lunch at Chinatown. Kids loved the beef brisket noodles. Then, we went back to watch the race. Allison did not mind watching the show although most of the kids who attended were boys. David's favorite truck is called the Grave Digger. Superman truck tipped over but the driver was fine. I am not sure if this was a stunt or not. The wheelies and bikes played a part of the show. Ear plugs is a must. The trucks can be loud. Mike seemed to enjoy the show more than anybody else :)
